Proctor - Adam

Source: Saturday Evening Journal, 14-Oct-1882

Addie, little son of N.H.P. and Lou C. Proctor, died at 8 o'clock Wednesday morning, the 10th inst. , age three years, three months and fourteen days, of an abscess on the brain. Little Addie was a bright boy, in which fond parents had reason to anticipate for him a crowning future, and a source of pleasure for their declining years, and in his death we see again the old maxim confirmed, that the sickle of death is no respecter of persons. His broken-hearted parents can realize the same ordeal that the many myriads of people have to undergo. That Our home is sad since death came there, And bore our brilliant star away, Our pride, our joy, our tender care, The hopes of our declining years. But now farewell on earth, farewell, Our little boy farewell to you, Soon may we go to you and dwell, To never lisp this sad adieu.

Thanks so much to Sue P who has been very generous with her obits :)
